basic obedience
This course is a two-week board and train. Within this course we teach your furry loved one basic obedience, they will learn sit, lay down, heel right, heel left, spin right, spin left, center heel, leash management, introduction to a place and stay, introduction to a recall, leash management, socialization with other dogs and socialization with people.
behavioral modification
This is a 3-4 week course. This is a personalized course catered to your furry loved one! This course is exactly as described, it is a modification of a specific behavior displayed by your dog.
For example,: potty training, crate training, barking, howling, and whining, food guarding, toy guarding, jumping, reactivity to people, reactivity to other animals, separation anxiety, and more! This course is designed to identify and target what is going on with your furry friend and develop a positive behavior.
aggression
This course is a four to six weeks. This course is a great solution for you, if you have experienced your furry loved one exhibiting behavior such as growling/barking at other people, growling/barking at other dogs, biting/nipping, reactivity, etc. If you have experienced the inability to take your dog with you on walks, have your dogs around your other dogs, dogs in general, had to limit people coming over because of your dogs aggressive tendencies, then this course is for you! We are here to help you and your furry loved one. This behavior is reversible and able to be mitigated, it is not hopeless! Please call us today and we can get your baby back on track!
off leash
This is a four week course where your furry loved one will learn how to properly behave in public off leash. They will finish this course having a solid recall where you can trust knowing your dog can be with you off leash and return to you when called. Please call for a custom course package to what you envision your off leash life with your dog to be like.
advanced obedience
This is a four-week course following the completion of the basic obedience course. Your furry friend will learn to heel backward, through the legs, focused heel, fading the lure from the skills taught during the basic course, and more!
detection
This is a six-week course that can teach your dog anything you want them to be able to detect! We are licensed and able to get your dog on explosive detection, narcotic detection, bed bug detection, gunshot residue detection, and more!

protection
This course will develop the necessary skills for your dog to be a protection dog! We will work on skills such as bite work, agility, focus, targeting and more! The course length is dependent on the dog as the growth into such a skill will be developed at a positive and balanced rate for the success of the dog.

tracking
This course is a three-week course. Within this course, your dog will learn how to track! They will be able to search for a specific item, person, or animal.

This course does not have a standard board and train timeframe as we want to develop and ensure the success of the dogs for their intended service. Being veteran-owned we understand how impactful a service dog is to one's life. We at GIK9 love being able to provide other veterans and civilians alike with a certified service dog to make a positive impact in one's life.
